Cake-Like Brownies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (for extra moisture)
Optional Toppings:
1/2 cup (90 g) chocolate chips or chunks
1/2 cup (50 g) chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x9 inch (23x23 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
2. Prepare Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth and combined.
Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Combine Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
Pour in the milk and mix until the batter is smooth. Avoid overmixing.
5. Add Toppings (Optional):
Fold in chocolate chips or chunks and nuts if desired.
6. Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Cool and Serve:
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then lift them out (if using parchment paper) and cut into squares.
